3D Photogrammetry with RTK corrections allows for accurate reconstruction of large area terrains
We use this geophysical surveying process
to detemine what were the underlying structures, features and activity of human action the has left a residual imprint below.
We use a variety of scanning technologies
and my engineering background
in reverse engineering has really helped with
my approach to this emerging approach to artefact
digital reconstruction.
Digital reconstruction is such a powerful tool. Having the ability to capture the historic item in digital form 'forever' is of course a vital aspect if it is signifcant. This medium is a great way of sharing the item with friends and colleagues whom would otherwise have the item shipped around for analysis.
The beauty in the methodology, ’ Virtual Paint-brushing’ in 3D. Is it does not impact the artefact in any way. Historians and archaeologists can try different techniques with no consequences to what might be a unique discovery.
Well what is this item that is currently unclassified.?
